Option A - Australian Wine Adventure

An informal cocktail party with a wine theme can create a unique experience for your employees or clients. Often such an event can follow a formal presentation or lecture. In putting forward a wine evening, this will act as a drawcard which will yield a higher acceptance rate for your seminar.

The 'Australian Wine Adventure' will feature both white and red wines from wine premium growing regions across Australia such as Margaret River (Western Australia), McLaren Vale (South Australia), Pyrenees (Victoria) and Barossa Valley (South Australia).

A nice variety of wines will be provided, in order that all preferences can be accommodated as well as enabling people to have a unique wine tasting experience which they may not have encountered previously.

As an example, a selection of white wines may include Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc as well as a Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend which is proving extremely popular in Hong Kong.

Moving onto the red wines, we may typically show Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz as well as blends such as Cabernet Merlot and Cabernet Shiraz.

To enhance the tasting experience, varietal notes will be provided on the various wines tasted. In addition, some brief background information on the relevant wine regions will be provided.

Attendees will be able to taste the difference between say a medium bodied peppery Shiraz from Margaret River and a heavier and higher alcohol content full bodied Shiraz from one of the famous wine growing regions in South Australia.

There is always the opportunity to play the 'Mystery Wine Game' and we have specially prepared answer cards which can be used.

Playing this game creates plenty of interaction and banter amongst the attendees. As the host, you can award prizes of bottles of wine to those with the best answers.

The Australian Wine Adventure has been designed so that you may host the event without external assistance. If, however, you would like a wine expert to lead your guests through the adventure, then appropriate arrangements can be made as we have established relationships with wine education institutions.
